Ten Best Blogging Tips

When I started my blog in July 2018, I never realised how much work being a blogger actually was, looking back I was so naive, I have read other blogs over the years and thought, that's easy  I can do that, but I was wrong it takes hours of work, don't get me wrong I love it, it has ups and downs but the sense of satisfaction every time I work and publish any blog post is tremendous. My blog is my online baby and I have to nurture and make it grow. So I have compiled ten top tips  to help  the blogger from my point of view.

1,First when you write a post make sure it is your own original work, you can get inspiration from other's  but never copy anyone else work, a big no no.

2,  Watch out for SEO keywords, you will need to include them in your title and in the body of your work, I am not an expert at SEO, but I just include popular words, but don't compromise your creativity for SEO.

3,  Make sure your blog page is attractive to reader's, a nice looking font good Ph…

International Women's Day. Who Is Your Inspirational Women.

This is Anna, my Grandmother, and I have chosen her as my Inspirational women for International Women's day 2019.    Anna, my Grandmother was born in April 1907 on the East Coast of Italy, in another time, and another place, long before I was even thought of.  I have chosen my Grandmother today  because she was a strong confident women who had a hard life with no money no decent home and sometimes no shoes on her feet as she used to tell me.  My Grandmother got married at 18 in Pink and had four daughter's the youngest of whom was my own Mother.  My Grandfather was a farmer/soldier and when the second world war broke out my Grandfather was in the war, my Nan as I always called her, was on her own in war torn Italy with four daughter ages ranging from 13 downwards to 6 years old,  if we think of poverty in our towns and cities today according to my Nan's  standards they where horrendously poor only eating what they could grow and what they could kill.  During the war for…

World Book Day 7th March, The Ultimate Quark Guide & Cook Book.

By The Queen of Quark

For world book day on March the 7th this week and I have been given this book to review by Kerstin and Linda the Human alter ego behind The queen of quark, It's a Hard back copy with 191 pages, of tips and delicious recipes of Quark, To be honest I had never really heard of Quark that much before, I never thought that Quark could be so versatile, I just thought it was like a cottage cheese type product but I realise that it is extreme low in fat and very good for you, you can make the most scrummy cheese cakes and even use it in savoury recipes, and add to  your morning smoothie.           Kerstain and Linda have cleverly compiled a marvellous collection of tips and recipes  for us mere mortals to try out.  The book starts with a wonderful explanation on the origins and history of Quark,  it also gives you a very helpful list of super-foods  from A to Z, some of which I never released made the list, that taught me.  The…

February Record Warm Weather, And Ice Cream On The Beach.

Hi all hope you are all doing really well, The weather here has been fantastic,  temperature's in North Wales were I live, has been 20 degrees, 20 degrees in February wow, listening to the news they are record temperatures for the UK,  it feels like spring and the skies are Blue without a cloud in sight and the flowers are fully blooming, the past few days people are just so much happier with smiles on their faces amazing what a little bit of warm sunshine can achieve.
I have been mainly outside the past few days planning how to upgrade my Winter garden, standing there with my hands on my hips making silent plans in my head, but maybe I will hold off slightly I have a funny feeling the UK will pay for the lovely weather, some snow storm or Beast from the east 2.  It's been so nice to take my power walks without freezing my arse off or getting soaked in the rain.

Myself  and my sister took a good long walk with her beloved and handsome dog Barney it was his Birthday and…

My Naughty Neighbour.

This post is auto fictive to protect identities.

November 2015, moving in day, the day was dark and raining, I drew back my curtains in my bedroom to find a moving truck with two men in blue overalls, busy in their work back and too from the truck to the house,  carrying boxes of stuff and shiny wooden furniture the repetitiveness made me bilious.   "Oh new neighbours", I shouted wondering and thinking of the mysterious human beings who would be gracing the house.  Very very quickly I would find out exactly who they were.        In the new year I had a lovely invitation to a house warming but that night I had another engagement so I declined.   You know dear readers when someone just gives you the chills when you see them but you don't know why, that's exactly how I felt each and every time I encountered the particular person of who I am writing about, I couldn't tell you why I just was on my guard, I often think Women have a radar of sorts and can spot a creep v…

The Benefits Of Eating Porridge.

This is not a sponsored  post.

Since I was young I have eaten Porridge for breakfast, coming from an Italian household  it was a very odd thing to do, my Father would never touch it, but my Mother used to love it and used to make us hot bowl of it before we went to school, especially during the Winter months, we  would happily skip along  to school and endure the cold British Winter's.   As I got into my late teens it was no longer cool to eat it, in fact I don't think I ate breakfast for years, as I got older and my body was shouting feed me first thing in the morning I started to realise the value of nutrition, and started eating my childhood bowl of porridge again.
First thing in the morning before the day has officially begun I go and grab a bowl and some skimmed milk my oats and blast them in the microwave with a little touch of sugar and I am set up for the day.   Gone are the days when I used to use a saucepan and stirred and stirred, I now blast min…

Storm Erick's destruction, and lunch at Frankie and Bennys

Hi all, a brand new week is here, I had a very stressful last week, all because of someone else's incompetence and I actually had a fight with a stranger who decided to be abusive with my 83 year old Mother I had never been so disgusted in my life, I hate losing my temper and it left me feeling lightheaded and I  couldn't sleep, but I had to protected her. The next day Storm Erik began over the UK and the noise of the 80 mph win gusts and the torrential rain were horrendous, I didn't sleep all night, the next morning I awoke to my dust bins all over the place rubbish scattered all over the floor  and my shed roof lying in big bits on my garden patio. Brilliant I thought even the fucking weather hates me this week, as I was drinking a hot cup of tea my pervert neighbour (more about him another time) came running up to my bay window shouting "your shed roof is down, your shed roof is down", "I know" I replied.

I so needed cheering up I felt so stresse…

Are You Your Star Sign?

I have loved Astrology ever since I was a child my Mother and older Sister was obsessed  with their  Horoscope's reading them in the magazines, wondering if they will come true, I went a little further and studied it, buying books on the subject and and learning about moon signs and rising signs.  So I decided  to write a post entitled are you your star sign.

My star sign is Leo,  The lusty lion, no not really that's my little joke there sounds good though, I thought so anyway.  Leos are supposed to be warm, generous and loving  fun with an air of royalty about them, yep that's me he he he. Looks wise Leo's are supposed to have a  big Maine of  hair, large eyes and beautiful face, Yes yes yes to all three, you see what I am doing here readers.😁 Worst negative trait is being bossy, No not me at all.
There are three types of Leo's  the bossy know it all show off, the quiet    Leo and the half in half, I am definitely the half in half.  Leo's in love li…

Love At First Bite.

Do you remember your first love, my lovely readers, I bet you do. I remember mine, it was Summer 1988 and I was introduced to this strawberry blonde 6 ft 15 year old with a name beginning with M(better not say his real name) he was the new boy at our comprehensive school. I had heard all the girls fancied him and he had already snogged a few of my friends, so I didn't like him already I thought he was a lush.  I was the last one out of our group of friends who hadn't  met him  yet, and I was glad because I fancied someone else anyway. Ooh Get me.
I walked up the road to meet my friends after I had eaten my tea and there in the distance was this tall teenage boy, I looked at him and thought "Is that him, is that what all the bloody fuss was about" as I was about to talk to my friend standing next to me, this boy or M, caught my eye and was staring in my direction, and I can safely say readers, that my legs went to jelly and I felt sick. I was in love.
     My f…

Do We Ever Get Over Nasty Childhood Comments.

Do We Get Over Nasty Childhood Comments? In my own opinion I don't think we do, we remember  them even when we grow older, I have learnt to live with mine, but I very much still remember them, they don't affect my life, but when I think back to them, a little tinge of sadness and hurt still possesses me.   I was never badly bullied, but I would say that I was picked on a lot because I looked a lot different than everyone in my class and friends, I grew up in North Wales, in the eighties, where everyone in my class surname's where either, Jones, Evans or Davies so I stuck out like a sore thumb, my family were from Italy and I had a funny surname, so I am sure you could imagine the jokes that were at my expense Pizza, pasta and all that but the best one they came up with is being sung Just One Cornetto at me, any one remember that bloody advert?  that was just some of it, it also didn't help that once I was tall, I was the second tallest girl in my school, and I deve…

The Girl With The Jet Black Hair.

The Statue in the garden bare, with life and love and nothing there.
Oh, how she wishes he could see how much she needs the company,
With life and love in his lifeless glare, she just stares and stares.

Walking through the messy house, with disruption and shouting loud
She cannot wait to run to her  childhood playground, with fun and laughter
and children around.

Sweetness and light and all sugar and spice, how her life was much simpler then
not the harshness and trouble and strife.
My how her life has changed, tired eyes and tired face.

Looking in the mirror, she does not recognise herself, same hair and same smile
but with dead eyes looking back, how sad, why can't things stay the same why do they have to change.
Don't laugh when I say I can't, don't stare when I say  I don't care.

Please let the sun come in and sit warmly on my face, let me feel the heat.
I am so sick of this cold dark place.
I will rise above, floating around in clouds higher and higher above…
