FAMILY FRIENDLY INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL FOR ALL.

It is a weeks long family friendly celebration which is full of music and dance and culture at the Llangollen Eisteddfod, I was born and have  grown up in North Wales and the Eisteddfod has been a huge part of my life, I have always known that the  people of the area as a child look forward to the festival every year, and it is part of Welsh culture and beyond. The very first festival was in June 1947 listed as a celebration of peace and harmony, and they are right, the whole festival is about music dance  and culture, there will be over 5,000 international performances from all over the world to entertain visitors to the beautiful and serene town of Llangollen, North Wales.

Every day from Monday 1st July to Sunday 7th July, there will be a theme to allow families into the culture and to explore, from every corner of the world, the beats and rhythm and colours and noises and traditions from Europe, to the South America,  to Asia  and to the beats of Africa.

Children's choir's and dance groups will take center stage on Wednesday 3rd July, as the international competitions start. with the winner of the Children's choir of the world being announced the following day.

There will be story telling from across the  globe on Wednesday - Friday Events Wednesday Here. Saturday is Family Day, there will be spectacular dancing in the streets, story telling, stilt walking and magic shows. Saturday on the field events here.

Teachers are also still able to book to attend International  Children's Day Themed Earths little Hero's on 2nd July. The day features the delivery of the "peace message" as well as dance showcases and environmental workshops. there will also be artists on the field to include Stilt walkers and jugglers Circus acts. Tuesday on the field events here.

My Summer Roller Coaster.

Hi to all my dear blog readers, sorry I have not been around for a few months, I had to take time off. I have had one of worst summers of my entire life, so as you can appreciate this post is the hardest I have ever had to write.
In the Summer I lost my beloved Mother, she had been ill for a while but over the summer weeks she got worse and died at the end of the season, even though it was expected it was still a massive shock,  at times I cant believe it has happend and other times life is normal, and other times the sense of loss is unbearable. I lost my best friend the women who knew me  best of all didn't judge me and was the wisest person on the planet whose advice will never be forgotten and passed on, I was never going to write on the blog ever again, thinking I would have a blank head and never being able to get my  feelings out and turn them into words.  But my younger Brother said you need to go back on your blog it will do you good and distract you, you are creative …

My Obsession with Red Shoes.

I was clearing out some boxes that were secretly stashed at the bottom of my wardrobe,  actually  I forgot about them.  There were about six of them, I wondered what was in each one,  I took them out and placed them on my bed in great anticipation of what I might find, I opened the first one and there was a lovely pair of red stilettos  that were about 15 years old, and I hadn't worn in ages, the second one were some flats,  third some pumps, all the boxes contained shoes of some style that I hadn't seen for an eternity.                                         Why have I kept all theses old shoes, I thought, when I hadn't worn any of them for years, all lined up I looked at them. Yes  they are all Red,  and  that's why I couldn't bear to part with any of them.                                         I had discarded all different colours and style's  down the years,    couldn't spot any of them,  not even in a line up…

A TRUE STORY.

Last Summer 2018, the long hot Summer that we had here in the UK and all over the world, I had a blind in my Bathroom that was beautifully old and needed replacing desperately, but life gets in the way and I never kept getting around to do it, you know what I mean my lovely readers, you look at your old friend, and think yep you had it.  One day after one hot boiling day I went to close the window and my hand went right through it. and a big rip appeared,  I think the heat and time had made the blind fragile and vulnerable. It looked awful so I got a a big pair of scissors and cut across it embarrassed by the bathroom situation, lets say I can't cut very straight I scanned it from afar and thought, "No you have got to go".
That's when I found a fantastic company that Makes made to measure blinds, they are called Make My Blinds.  They have a great and easy to navigate website, that make your blinds exactly to …

The Secret Blogger

Put your hands up who's a secret blogger,  me me me.  In a room full of people I would be the first to stand up, in a queue I would be well and truly at the front.  I am the Ultimate secret blogger I confess, anyone else come on own up.
On a serious note when, I started my blogging journey I really wanted something to do on a creative level if  20 or so people read my posts I would have been really happy, I never realised  that I would get this far, I have learnt so much in such a short space of time. I started my blog on July 17th 2018, only one person knew about it, my Brother I needed him for the technical bit, I will give him a shout out because he does read the blog don't you know, it took me about three weeks to tell my Sister, and one of my Nieces and my older Brother but no one else knows,   I feel quite like it's some kind of big hush hush secret, don't get me wrong I am proud of my little corner of the internet, I am just not ready to share it with …
