World Book Day 7th March, The Ultimate Quark Guide & Cook Book.

                                 By The Queen of Quark

For world book day on March the 7th this week and I have been given this book to review by Kerstin and Linda the Human alter ego behind The queen of quark, It's a Hard back copy with 191 pages, of tips and delicious recipes of Quark, To be honest I had never really heard of Quark that much before, I never thought that Quark could be so versatile, I just thought it was like a cottage cheese type product but I realise that it is extreme low in fat and very good for you, you can make the most scrummy cheese cakes and even use it in savoury recipes, and add to  your morning smoothie.

Kerstain and Linda have cleverly compiled a marvellous collection of tips and recipes  for us mere mortals to try out.  The book starts with a wonderful explanation on the origins and history of Quark,  it also gives you a very helpful list of super-foods  from A to Z, some of which I never released made the list, that taught me.  There is also a fantastic chapter on the health benefits of Quark, I never realised  how good  it is for you,

The recipes  and method in the book are easy to understand and very clear, so you instantly don't feel confused and think I can't try them out. The photography jumps out of the page and made me feel very hungry indeed,  the colours used made the whole look of the book fresh and healthy,   Kerstin and Linda have made this Ultimate guide to Quark reader friendly and written with the person in mind. A must for your book shelf  I am proud to have it on mine.

How To Survive Your Younger Years.

What age would you go back to?   Sixteen, Eighteen, your early twenty's?  I personally think that there is a huge difference between 16 and 24 not just in numbers but in life.  I am writing this post because I have seen a lot of younger people struggling and it has made me very sad and I some what know what they are going through,  of course everybody's situation is different  we all have different lives and family situations and a different set of problems.
I am no expert on mental health I would never dare, I am only writing from my own point of view and my own struggles  when I was younger.  When I have talked to several younger people, lately my heart breaks for them I remember the self esteem issues that I had as a teenager, the fear I felt when sitting my GCSE exams, and leaving school was terrifying I didn't want to grow up it was scary, I wanted to hang out with my friends get drunk and snog boys, I knew that I couldn't do that I had to study I had to get a j…

My Obsession with Red Shoes.

I was clearing out some boxes that were secretly stashed at the bottom of my wardrobe,  actually  I forgot about them.  There were about six of them, I wondered what was in each one,  I took them out and placed them on my bed in great anticipation of what I might find, I opened the first one and there was a lovely pair of red stilettos  that were about 15 years old, and I hadn't worn in ages, the second one were some flats,  third some pumps, all the boxes contained shoes of some style that I hadn't seen for an eternity.                                         Why have I kept all theses old shoes, I thought, when I hadn't worn any of them for years, all lined up I looked at them. Yes  they are all Red,  and  that's why I couldn't bear to part with any of them.                                         I had discarded all different colours and style's  down the years,    couldn't spot any of them,  not even in a line up…

Is Wolf Whistling Sexual Harassment?

The subject of wolf whistling can be a tricky one to discuss, is it harmless fun or is it a mild form of sexual harassment,  do you find it offensive? Are you being to sensitive? |Do you enjoy the attention? Or when you hear that little noise does it fill you with horror?

Myself personally I think it's a mild form of sexual harassment, I want to tell you all a true story, something that happened to me when I was 15. In the last four months of my secondary school life, I used to walk to school, about a 20 minute walk, the same route I took for five years, in all weathers.  in the spring time, houses were being built at the end of my road, and builders were working hard, when one day walking home from school, one of the builders wolf whistled at me, I went bright red and put my head down and ignored it. the next day in the morning the same thing happened and I did the same thing head down and embarrassed   this went on for three weeks in the morning to school and when home tim…
