Ten Best Blogging Tips

When I started my blog in July 2018, I never realised how much work being a blogger actually was, looking back I was so naive, I have read other blogs over the years and thought, that's easy  I can do that, but I was wrong it takes hours of work, don't get me wrong I love it, it has ups and downs but the sense of satisfaction every time I work and publish any blog post is tremendous. My blog is my online baby and I have to nurture and make it grow. So I have compiled ten top tips  to help  the blogger from my point of view.

1,  First when you write a post make sure it is your own original work, you can get inspiration from other's  but never copy anyone else work, a big no no.

2,  Watch out for SEO keywords, you will need to include them in your title and in the body of your work, I am not an expert at SEO, but I just include popular words, but don't compromise your creativity for SEO.

3,  Make sure your blog page is attractive to reader's, a nice looking font good Photo's and try not to overwhelm your page so it looks to busy, keep it neat and tidy.

4, Something I didn't know at first but promote, promote, promote.  Use social media for this twitter is fantastic.

5,  If your serious about being a blogger buy you domain first, it doesn't cost much I pay £10.00 a year for mine, I left it a bit late and when I did my DA dropped dramatically.

6, Keep a little pad and pen with you, you never know when creativity strikes,  inspiration strikes me at the funniest times,  and I write it down in case I forget it.

7,  Get very active on social Media,  create pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pintrest where you can promote your blog posts, connect with other bloggers and comment on their work. The Blogging community is so lovely they are diamonds.

8,  Be polite and helpful to other's,  and answer any comments people leave you.

9,  Increase your Domain Authority I am not an expert at this either, but you need to create back links, it's not that easy and requires hard work, share your blog everywhere you can, so people can click and read your content. DA is so important if you want to start working as an influencer. But it does take time.

10,  And most importantly, Don't give up, things will go wrong sometimes it happens to us all, but it's so satisfying and all worth it in the end.

These tips are definitely helpful for a beginner! I feel like when I started I didn’t know a lot so I’m glad there are posts out there like these for new bloggers. I agree that Twitter is the best platform for promoting, it takes a lot of work but it’s worth it.

International Women's Day. Who Is Your Inspirational Women.

This is Anna, my Grandmother, and I have chosen her as my Inspirational women for International Women's day 2019.    Anna, my Grandmother was born in April 1907 on the East Coast of Italy, in another time, and another place, long before I was even thought of.  I have chosen my Grandmother today  because she was a strong confident women who had a hard life with no money no decent home and sometimes no shoes on her feet as she used to tell me.  My Grandmother got married at 18 in Pink and had four daughter's the youngest of whom was my own Mother.  My Grandfather was a farmer/soldier and when the second world war broke out my Grandfather was in the war, my Nan as I always called her, was on her own in war torn Italy with four daughter ages ranging from 13 downwards to 6 years old,  if we think of poverty in our towns and cities today according to my Nan's  standards they where horrendously poor only eating what they could grow and what they could kill.  During the war for…

Youtube's Lucy Wyndham-Read, My New Online Personal Trainer.

I have started a new fitness routine, I have always loved keeping fit since my late twenty's till today, it's funny that when I was at school I hated sports or games as we call it here in the UK, I was always the last or second to last in a race and was never picked for any team I did however excel at Volley Ball (no idea why) and I was good at dance, but of course my school abandoned the volley ball team. at age thirteen, but I did do dance lessons from the age of seven till sixteen, I had  dreams of being a dancer on Top of the Pops, (yeah right).
From about the age of 27 I started to workout to keep fit DVD's and they worked they really did, and I actually enjoyed it, I became pretty fit and had a nice little figure too,  but alas time has gone on and the years have gone by and by the time I was 35 I started to realize I couldn't do the DVD's that I was doing a few years back and was struggling to do any more that 20 mins each time, and eventually  I started …

Why I Hate Love Island.

I know this will not be  popular  with a lot of the  British public, but I hate ITV1's  Love Island, there I have said it. Am I the only one?  I feel on a daily basis the only one.   Last Summer this show, about lovely young men and women on an holiday island  was on and all my  female friends and some of my  family were watching it, they were fascinated, next to the photocopier they were fascinated, going out for drinks with my girlfriends all I could hear was he fancies her she snogged him, so I felt like an absolute freak when I suddenly shouted to out "I have never seen it", all heads turned and looked at me in amazement, eyes wide and mouths open, one or two heads shaking in amazement, "what" one particular friend   cried out "never?".  They were horrified I felt like I wanted the ground to swallow me up whole.
So I must confess that night I went home put on Youtube typed in Love Island and there were lots of lots of older clips I saw one tha…

Llangollen International Festival

Sponsored  Post with links.

Hi all, I have some very exciting news to tell you all, I have been asked to write a pre-review of a fantastic blogging opportunity. I was so excited when I was chosen. I have always wanted to go to this ever since I was little and have never been.

FAMILY FRIENDLY INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL FOR ALL.  It is a weeks long family friendly celebration which is full of music and dance and culture at the Llangollen Eisteddfod, I was born and have  grown up in North Wales and the Eisteddfod has been a huge part of my life, I have always known that the  people of the area as a child look forward to the festival every year, and it is part of Welsh culture and beyond. The very first festival was in June 1947 listed as a celebration of peace and harmony, and they are right, the whole festival is about music dance  and culture, there will be over 5,000 international performances from all over the world to entertain visitors to the beautiful and serene town of Llangollen, No…
