My Summer Roller Coaster.

Hi to all my dear blog readers, sorry I have not been around for a few months, I had to take time off. I have had one of worst summers of my entire life, so as you can appreciate this post is the hardest I have ever had to write.
In the Summer I lost my beloved Mother, she had been ill for a while but over the summer weeks she got worse and died at the end of the season, even though it was expected it was still a massive shock,  at times I cant believe it has happend and other times life is normal, and other times the sense of loss is unbearable. I lost my best friend the women who knew me  best of all didn't judge me and was the wisest person on the planet whose advice will never be forgotten and passed on, I was never going to write on the blog ever again, thinking I would have a blank head and never being able to get my  feelings out and turn them into words.  But my younger Brother said you need to go back on your blog it will do you good and distract you, you are creative …

Ten Things I Hate.

In life you can not be happy go lucky  everyday, everyone and I mean everyone has a day where multiple things go wrong, and by the evening you just think my God anything else today.
So I have compiled a list of  ten things that get's  on my absolute nerves I am very sure most of you have one...............

1   When you are parked in the car park and two big vans park either side of your vehicle so close  so you can't  get back into your car, Oh yes this has happened to me.

2, Other dog owners who let there dogs bark late at night and early in the morning constantly, without even trying to shut them up or take them indoors. See earlier blog post.

3  Not picking up your dog's shit. and putting it in the bin.

4 When I was younger, women who thought I was hitting on there ugly boyfriend, and pulling them away from me, and telling me to stay away from them. You must be joking.

5  Balloons at weddings why oh why would you have balloons all over your reception venue, it…

Santi's Handmade Jewellery, Review.

This post contains advertising links.

Hi to you all, I was approached by the lovely and talented Sofiya Dimitrova, creator of Santi's Homemade Jewellery.  You will find her fantastic website here Santi's handmade Jewellery  Who gifted me a lovely   Earing's   and bracelet set  to review.

The items arrived very quickly in a cute little pouch trimmed with a ribbon, I love jewellery so as you can imagine I was very excited to open it.   The earnings and bracelet  I was gifted are silver plated, wire wrapped with opal stone beads. The name Opal derives from the Sanskrit word upala which means "precious stone".  Sofiya designed this piece so it would go with any Summer outfit.
I loved the pure but subtle tones of the blue against the silver, and that the beads change colour in the light  the earnings are wired so delicately, and with care, you can tell that Sofiya takes great pride in her work.  Each piece has been lovingly handcraft, most of her pieces are made …

I Went To Llangollen International Festival 6th July 2019

This post contains  advertising links.

On Saturday 6th July 2019 I actually fulfilled a life long dream and I got to go to the Llangollen International festival. We all got up early and made our way to the beautiful town on Llangollen in North Wales. We parked the car very easily and parking was absolutely free, the weather unfortunately was not very Summary, it was overcast and a little on the cooler side but that was not going to dampen my excitement, as we walked from the car park to the field were the festival tent was situated, I could see an stunning array of colours and different cultures, a fantastic atmosphere loomed  over the town palpable excitement, so many smiling faces and lots of chatter in so many different languages, I have been coming to Llangollen since I was small but I had never seen the town looking like this before, I knew all the local land marks but for some reason I felt like I was somewhere else, another World were peace and happiness reign.

Youtube's Lucy Wyndham-Read, My New Online Personal Trainer.

I have started a new fitness routine, I have always loved keeping fit since my late twenty's till today, it's funny that when I was at school I hated sports or games as we call it here in the UK, I was always the last or second to last in a race and was never picked for any team I did however excel at Volley Ball (no idea why) and I was good at dance, but of course my school abandoned the volley ball team. at age thirteen, but I did do dance lessons from the age of seven till sixteen, I had  dreams of being a dancer on Top of the Pops, (yeah right).
From about the age of 27 I started to workout to keep fit DVD's and they worked they really did, and I actually enjoyed it, I became pretty fit and had a nice little figure too,  but alas time has gone on and the years have gone by and by the time I was 35 I started to realize I couldn't do the DVD's that I was doing a few years back and was struggling to do any more that 20 mins each time, and eventually  I started …

Leeshcraft of London, Candle Review.

This post Contains ad links.
"Magical scents inspired by nature and nostalgia" Leeshcraft of London.

I have been asked to review one of Leeshcraft of London fabulous candle's,  I  wanted to open the box which arrived in the post with out looking at any of the stunning paperwork, that came with the candle or read any information about it, so I could give an honest review about any product that I review on my blog. The candle I was asked to review was Woodland Mist from their Botanic Collection.
When I first opened  the box I could smell a lovely classic smell of white lilies, then followed a subtle hint of Rosemary then Heather, which became stronger with a little time so I would say the smell of Lilies started to merge with the other two smells.
The packaging alone stands out superbly, the colours are bright but natural, keeping with the theme.

The candle has oakmoss in it which is an essential oil, which to be honest I had never heard of  before, but I enjoyed the…

Why I Hate Love Island.

I know this will not be  popular  with a lot of the  British public, but I hate ITV1's  Love Island, there I have said it. Am I the only one?  I feel on a daily basis the only one.   Last Summer this show, about lovely young men and women on an holiday island  was on and all my  female friends and some of my  family were watching it, they were fascinated, next to the photocopier they were fascinated, going out for drinks with my girlfriends all I could hear was he fancies her she snogged him, so I felt like an absolute freak when I suddenly shouted to out "I have never seen it", all heads turned and looked at me in amazement, eyes wide and mouths open, one or two heads shaking in amazement, "what" one particular friend   cried out "never?".  They were horrified I felt like I wanted the ground to swallow me up whole.
So I must confess that night I went home put on Youtube typed in Love Island and there were lots of lots of older clips I saw one tha…

Llangollen International Festival

Sponsored  Post with links.

Hi all, I have some very exciting news to tell you all, I have been asked to write a pre-review of a fantastic blogging opportunity. I was so excited when I was chosen. I have always wanted to go to this ever since I was little and have never been.

FAMILY FRIENDLY INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL FOR ALL.  It is a weeks long family friendly celebration which is full of music and dance and culture at the Llangollen Eisteddfod, I was born and have  grown up in North Wales and the Eisteddfod has been a huge part of my life, I have always known that the  people of the area as a child look forward to the festival every year, and it is part of Welsh culture and beyond. The very first festival was in June 1947 listed as a celebration of peace and harmony, and they are right, the whole festival is about music dance  and culture, there will be over 5,000 international performances from all over the world to entertain visitors to the beautiful and serene town of Llangollen, No…

Are you Mutton Dressed as Lamb?

Do you feel old I don't I am a 45 going 16 in my head but  I often worry if I dress to young, I never have been a provocative dresser, even in my teenage years and twenty's,  I was always worried that my skirt's were to short or my top was to low, it is such a shame I was so self conscious because now I am older I do wish I let a little bit more hang out so to speak.  I used to look in the mirror and wonder do I look like a slag in this sorry to be so crude reader's but that's what I was saying in  my head, I hated my legs I thought they were chubby. pasty white and short, who would want to see them, I don't even want to see them, so I covered up my pasty pins up and put them away for a later date.  It took me till my mid twenty's  to get my legs out, when I dared to wear a short skirt on a night out and my Aunt said"you've got lovely legs why have you been hiding them all these years get them out Girl"                                      …

My Obsession with Red Shoes.

I was clearing out some boxes that were secretly stashed at the bottom of my wardrobe,  actually  I forgot about them.  There were about six of them, I wondered what was in each one,  I took them out and placed them on my bed in great anticipation of what I might find, I opened the first one and there was a lovely pair of red stilettos  that were about 15 years old, and I hadn't worn in ages, the second one were some flats,  third some pumps, all the boxes contained shoes of some style that I hadn't seen for an eternity.                                         Why have I kept all theses old shoes, I thought, when I hadn't worn any of them for years, all lined up I looked at them. Yes  they are all Red,  and  that's why I couldn't bear to part with any of them.                                         I had discarded all different colours and style's  down the years,    couldn't spot any of them,  not even in a line up…

How To Survive Your Younger Years.

What age would you go back to?   Sixteen, Eighteen, your early twenty's?  I personally think that there is a huge difference between 16 and 24 not just in numbers but in life.  I am writing this post because I have seen a lot of younger people struggling and it has made me very sad and I some what know what they are going through,  of course everybody's situation is different  we all have different lives and family situations and a different set of problems.
I am no expert on mental health I would never dare, I am only writing from my own point of view and my own struggles  when I was younger.  When I have talked to several younger people, lately my heart breaks for them I remember the self esteem issues that I had as a teenager, the fear I felt when sitting my GCSE exams, and leaving school was terrifying I didn't want to grow up it was scary, I wanted to hang out with my friends get drunk and snog boys, I knew that I couldn't do that I had to study I had to get a j…

Is Wolf Whistling Sexual Harassment?

The subject of wolf whistling can be a tricky one to discuss, is it harmless fun or is it a mild form of sexual harassment,  do you find it offensive? Are you being to sensitive? |Do you enjoy the attention? Or when you hear that little noise does it fill you with horror?

Myself personally I think it's a mild form of sexual harassment, I want to tell you all a true story, something that happened to me when I was 15. In the last four months of my secondary school life, I used to walk to school, about a 20 minute walk, the same route I took for five years, in all weathers.  in the spring time, houses were being built at the end of my road, and builders were working hard, when one day walking home from school, one of the builders wolf whistled at me, I went bright red and put my head down and ignored it. the next day in the morning the same thing happened and I did the same thing head down and embarrassed   this went on for three weeks in the morning to school and when home tim…

Four Days In Florence.

Hi I have just returned from a  lovely trip  to Florence in Italy,   we booked it a couple of weeks ago, I never thought we would get flights, but we did and off we went, I surprised myself really, when I book a trip it's usually months in advance and I have to plan every detail I don't know what your like my dear readers, I think it's a confidence thing,  this is the first time I have let someone else plan a trip and I just went with the flow, not like me at all. I came to the conclusion of, why am I worrying life is to short just go with it. And I did.

Ciao Italia

We landed 9.00 am,  after a rather quite flight from Manchester Airport, weather was 17 degrees and a mixture of cloudy and sun.  Very different from the cool rainy UK, we had just left.  Hotel was a small boutique type I did want to say which one it was, but my partner has asked me not to name names, for privacy. reasons and I respect that. One day I will get him on the blog, you will see.       But it was…

Dear Meghan A Letter To A Duchess.

Dedicated to  Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Dear Meghan,

I hope you are well, and that all is well with your pregnancy, I hope you are not stressed and are resting in the last few days of this magical time, and your Husband is looking after you, I am sure he will he is very protective of his new family.
I hope you have not been reading all the horrible comments from the trolls, that I have been reading including the awful and ridiculous one's  that has been on your very own Instagram account in the last few days, it just makes me realise  that in reading them, you can tell how much people believe what they read in online newspapers and magazine's  and over social media how ill informed they all are and how all these made up stories are ridiculous so obviously untrue it's laughable, for example your post the other day on your Instagram account where you unfollowed  everyone, if they had bothered reading it they would ha…

Sponsored  Post.     Make My Blinds.Co.UK

A TRUE STORY.

Last Summer 2018, the long hot Summer that we had here in the UK and all over the world, I had a blind in my Bathroom that was beautifully old and needed replacing desperately, but life gets in the way and I never kept getting around to do it, you know what I mean my lovely readers, you look at your old friend, and think yep you had it.  One day after one hot boiling day I went to close the window and my hand went right through it. and a big rip appeared,  I think the heat and time had made the blind fragile and vulnerable. It looked awful so I got a a big pair of scissors and cut across it embarrassed by the bathroom situation, lets say I can't cut very straight I scanned it from afar and thought, "No you have got to go".
That's when I found a fantastic company that Makes made to measure blinds, they are called Make My Blinds.  They have a great and easy to navigate website, that make your blinds exactly to …

Climate Change Tips, What You Can Do To Help.

With all the talk about climate change, and all the protests in London at the moment, I wanted to do a little research about it, of course I have heard of climate change, since the late eighties, when I first heard of the term The Ozone Layer, we did learn a little about it, but to be truthful it never really went any further than that.  But lately with all the talk around I have been thinking very carefully about this planet we have borrowed to live on.
I have done a lot of reading on the subject  in the last week and have been surprised how many things I can do to help climate change I  have decided to adopt some if not all of them for myself, some I already have done without realising that I had.  Can you imagine if all of us do our bit for the planet we might be able to save so much of it for future generations. Here are my tips, can you help?

1,  Start walking more, it's good for your mind and your body, I already do  this I walk everywhere I can.

2, Don't drink bott…

Life Update, My Red Trainers and Meditation Madness.

Hi all Easter weekend  is upon us, and the weather here in the UK is unbelievably beautiful,  it has been 19 degrees today and it's climbing this weekend, see it's not always raining here. Just thought I would give you all a quick life update, I haven't done one for a while on the blog, I really wanted to put my own mind in order, while updating the blog a little bit more on a personal note.
Apart from life being life, busy with work and family, far too busy with work and family the last few months  have flown by,  I have been working so hard on the blog and when I started my little online thoughts section, I never thought is would grow the way it has, and the blogging community especially on Twitter are diamonds they have been so friendly and supportive, I decided to share other peoples posts, to help us all out, we need to get the blogs out there, bloggers work so hard on their  own content  I feel like it would be a shame not to share them around for everyone to …
