Are You Brave Enough To Wear Red Lipstick ?

Are you brave enough to wear Red Lipstick, I am, I have and I do, I have since I was around 14, this post is not for selling Lipstick but a little shout out and support to those who do the fact that I always wear it, it has of late become so unfashionable to wear the scarlet colour, but I know people frown on it, and think I am some kind of tart, I used to wear it to school, to school I hear you say in horror, yeah really to school, I used to tone it down of course, but I dared to do it yes I did, I was obsessed with make up when I was a teenager.      I walked into my French class and my wonderful French teacher told me to go and wash my face, and another time when walking into assembly was also told to go and wash my face I looked like a clown.  When it became out of fashion I was ashamed of wearing it not wanting to attract attention, or the wrong kind of attention, as I have gotten older I still wear it with pride, you all know readers of this blog that I have a weird obsession with the Colour Red I don't know why I even have a Red Cooker and a Red Computer for God's sake, I also have a terrible obsession with Red Shoes I have written a rather cool article about it on this blog you can find the link here. My Obsession with Red Shoes  I love looking around for different shades and I can wear most but I don't the pink shades suit me they make my skin looks yellow.
Now I am older I like to put on some Vaseline lip balm and dot the red lipstick over my lips and rub my lips together, you get a subtle red shade and your lips are nice and soft to, just a little tip there for you if you want to try it.   I do like to line my eye's with black eyeliner but no eye shadow, and apply the Red lipstick a little heavier with a lip brush it makes a lovely evening look and it's quite a 50's inspired look.
Can red lipstick been worn everyday? Yes it can is the answer I do  it lighter in the day and heavyish on an evening out.  I have hazel eye's so I always find it gives a little bit of a sexy look, well I hope it does. So yes be brave and wear the red lipstick or purchase one today, Be brave, you know you want to.

International Women's Day. Who Is Your Inspirational Women.

This is Anna, my Grandmother, and I have chosen her as my Inspirational women for International Women's day 2019.    Anna, my Grandmother was born in April 1907 on the East Coast of Italy, in another time, and another place, long before I was even thought of.  I have chosen my Grandmother today  because she was a strong confident women who had a hard life with no money no decent home and sometimes no shoes on her feet as she used to tell me.  My Grandmother got married at 18 in Pink and had four daughter's the youngest of whom was my own Mother.  My Grandfather was a farmer/soldier and when the second world war broke out my Grandfather was in the war, my Nan as I always called her, was on her own in war torn Italy with four daughter ages ranging from 13 downwards to 6 years old,  if we think of poverty in our towns and cities today according to my Nan's  standards they where horrendously poor only eating what they could grow and what they could kill.  During the war for…

Youtube's Lucy Wyndham-Read, My New Online Personal Trainer.

I have started a new fitness routine, I have always loved keeping fit since my late twenty's till today, it's funny that when I was at school I hated sports or games as we call it here in the UK, I was always the last or second to last in a race and was never picked for any team I did however excel at Volley Ball (no idea why) and I was good at dance, but of course my school abandoned the volley ball team. at age thirteen, but I did do dance lessons from the age of seven till sixteen, I had  dreams of being a dancer on Top of the Pops, (yeah right).
From about the age of 27 I started to workout to keep fit DVD's and they worked they really did, and I actually enjoyed it, I became pretty fit and had a nice little figure too,  but alas time has gone on and the years have gone by and by the time I was 35 I started to realize I couldn't do the DVD's that I was doing a few years back and was struggling to do any more that 20 mins each time, and eventually  I started …

Why I Hate Love Island.

I know this will not be  popular  with a lot of the  British public, but I hate ITV1's  Love Island, there I have said it. Am I the only one?  I feel on a daily basis the only one.   Last Summer this show, about lovely young men and women on an holiday island  was on and all my  female friends and some of my  family were watching it, they were fascinated, next to the photocopier they were fascinated, going out for drinks with my girlfriends all I could hear was he fancies her she snogged him, so I felt like an absolute freak when I suddenly shouted to out "I have never seen it", all heads turned and looked at me in amazement, eyes wide and mouths open, one or two heads shaking in amazement, "what" one particular friend   cried out "never?".  They were horrified I felt like I wanted the ground to swallow me up whole.
So I must confess that night I went home put on Youtube typed in Love Island and there were lots of lots of older clips I saw one tha…

FAMILY FRIENDLY INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL FOR ALL.  It is a weeks long family friendly celebration which is full of music and dance and culture at the Llangollen Eisteddfod, I was born and have  grown up in North Wales and the Eisteddfod has been a huge part of my life, I have always known that the  people of the area as a child look forward to the festival every year, and it is part of Welsh culture and beyond.
